September 19th, 2009

I was so honored to be a guest at the Wayne County Celebration for the Special Olympics of North Carolina!  The American Red Cross was there helping with the event along with hundreds of volunteers!  There were several thousand people there having such a great time!  My friend Ryan, and a world champion Special Olympics Athlete invited me to be a part of the celebration!  I joined the stage at the beginning with Mayor King of Goldsboro and COL. Kelly of Seymour Johnson Airforce Base!  It was such an honor to be introduced by my dear friend Ryan and his family as well as such a wonderful Pastor of Whitley Church (there in Goldsboro)!  After several great performances, I was asked to go on stage and speak about my platform, and encourage others there (like all the great volunteers at the event!) to go and volunteer to support amazing organizations like the SONC and the Red Cross!  I also was there to accept donations for the athletes, and I am so proud to say that they received over $5,000!  It was a great day, and I met so many wonderful new friends! Thank you Goldsboro for such a warm welcome and a fun celebration for a great cause!

As a Senior Senator for the University of NC at Greensboro, I was so excited to help with fall elections this year on campus!  Despite the rain, we had a great turn-out!  I am so excited as a part of SGA and a full time student at UNCG, to be riding in the Fall Fest Parade for our homecoming as Miss NC International and a member of student government!  Stay tuned for more pictures from that coming up!  Here are some pics of my friends and I in SGA elections this year!

I had some fun events last weekend, I was a judge at Asheboro's Fall Festival Pageant, we crowned so many beautiful young ladies and I saw lots of good friends!  I also helped my great friend Jaime, owner of Reign Fine App. in Charlotte NC with the Miss NC USA trunk show fashion show!  I was able to show all the great contestants for Novembers big pageant the great gown that I got to wear at Miss International thanks to all the great gowns at Reign Fine!  It was a lot of fun, alongside my sister queen LaDaria, Mrs. NC International 2009!  I was so excited to be there and see lots of great friends too!

Wyndham Golf Championship

Sedgefield Country Club House
Bill Haas, PGA Golfer(above)

I was lucky enough to be invited to The 2009 Wyndham Golf Tournament!  It started August 17, and I went on to the tournament Championship on Sunday August 23.  It was pretty incredible!  I rode around the golf course with some terrific volunteers and interns!  I saw the golf tournament from the front 9 holes!  We gave the water to the other volunteers along the cart path!  Then I was lucky enough to be a guest in the Skybox on the 18th hole!  There were 33,000 people at the Wyndham Golf Championship Sunday!  The PGA Golfers were very talented!  My Favorite golfer at the tournament was Bill Haas, a former Wake Forest Grad!  But congratulations to Ryan Moore the winner of the tournament!  My Parents and I had a great time!!
